a visit to warmer climes...

Well, it's that time of year again. I finally got around to booking a flight to make use of my alaska airlines voucher before it was due to expire in late march. I get to fly down to Zihuatanejo, Mexico on March 9th and spend 4 nights. I came across this hostel and booked it for pretty cheap for a private room & bath that's only 150yards from the beach. Should be a fun retreat from the Pacific Northwest Winter/spring weather and surf. Maybe I'll see ya there? :)

ok, here's one I'm gonna go back to because it's during a period where I got behind on posting. My company's yearly meeting and christmas party this year involved flying to miami and going on a cruise to the bahamas. Sounds rough, huh? So on our single day to run around off the boat in the bahamas, a group of us decided to take a sailboat out to a remote island and relax. Snorkeling, swiming, frisbee, and even managed a little kayaking with a coworker's inflatable. It was verah niice. 

Another reason I decided to go, there's always supposed to be something blooming there. Any time of year. :)

I spent my monday off running errands and took a break over at the chinese gardens in downtown portland. I especially enjoyed my jasmine tou cha tea at their teahouse. A very relaxing way to start the new year.
