And I'll be caught up to the present with this final picture of the other thing I accomplished this weekend...getting "started" on trimming these bushes in the front of the house. What you can't see in this picture is two trash cans full of trimmings on top of what is piled there half as high as my car...Alot of work still to be done! Posted by Picasa

Here's a pretty good pic from the Death Cab for Cutie show I went to last month. They put on a good show, but the coliseum venue was horrible. I don't think I'll be going to another show there. I enjoyed the times I got to see them at smaller venues like the Crystal Ballroom alot more... Posted by Picasa

Here's a random picture of the sun peeking out in the afternoon after a mostly rainy day... Posted by Picasa

So that's pretty much it for the pictures from the mexico trip. I didn't get to take as many as my trip to Costa Rica because I didn't really have anyone to watch my camera while I did things like surf. It was nice to be pretty carefree though and not worry about my stuff getting stolen. I did try alot of local foods that were excellent, like the dish made up of slivers of fish with onions and peppers that were served cold as they had been cooked BY the marinade of lime juice...spicy and tasty in the middle of the day. I watch some local intramural basketball games played at a court right on the bay and relaxed to a variety of live music performances on different nights. Overall it was a good experience and I'm glad I got the opportunity to go. Posted by Picasa

one thing I didn't really keep track of while I was there was time...I don't really wear a watch anymore as I usually rely on my cellphone for a timepiece. Without my cellphone down there I just went as I pleased. Posted by Picasa

The cruise ship had arrived at this point, which meant the area flooded with people off the boat. I don't have alot of other comments on the rest of my pics from around Zihua, so I'm just going to start posting them up...enjoy! Posted by Picasa

...and I had to snap a picture of my favorite restaraunt. This is the place that I tried the local pozole dish (a hominy stew) and also the one that boasts 16 different types of tamales. My favorite turned out to be one with butternut squash, onions, and cheese...delicious! Tamales y Atole I think was the name...you'll find it noted in the lonely planet guide. Posted by Picasa
